Non metallic chain mud scraper is mainly used for scraping and removing sediment and sand from rectangular sedimentation tanks, especially in sewage treatment projects such as sedimentation tanks,primary sedimentation tanks, secondary sedimentation tanks, and oil separation tanks.
Product Introduction
1.Sludge Collection
- The scraper blades, attached to a corrosion-resistant plastic or composite chain, slowly move along the tank bottom.
- They push settled sludge toward the collection hopper at one end of the tank.
2.Continuous Loop Motion
- The chain is driven by a sprocket motor at a low speed (0.3–1.5 m/min), forming a continuous loop.
- Non-metallic chains (e.g., polyethylene or fiberglass-reinforced) resist chemicals and reduce wear.
3.Sludge Discharge
- Collected sludge is lifted by inclined flights or conveyed to a sludge pump for further dewatering.
- Clean water overflows weirs at the tank surface.
