Disc Diffuser

Disc diffuser is an efficient gas diffusion device mainly used for aerating in fields such as sewage treatment and aquaculture. Its core advantage lies in generating small bubbles through a microporous structure, significantly improving oxygen transfer efficiency.

Product Introduction

Aeration diffusers (or air diffusers) are devices installed at the bottom of wastewater treatment tanks to release fine air bubbles, promoting oxygen dissolution for microbial degradation of organic pollutants.

  1. Air Supply: Compressed air is delivered through pipelines to the diffuser system.

  2. Bubble Generation: The diffuser membrane (usually EPDM or silicone) creates fine bubbles (1-3mm) for maximum surface area contact.

  3. Oxygen Transfer: Bubbles rise slowly, allowing efficient oxygen dissolution into the water (Standard Oxygen Transfer Efficiency, SOTE: 25-35%).

  4. Mixing Effect: Bubble movement creates vertical circulation, preventing sludge settling.

Product Advantages

Material Characteristics:

Disc diffuser: 25-30 holes/cm ².

30% smaller in bubbles and 20% reduction in resistance.

1.Modification of Rubber Materials:

  • Exxon molecular weight bimodal distribution EPDM, DMS controllable long-chain branching technology EPDM, IIR268 butyl rubber.

2.Double Peroxide Vulcanization Crosslinking Technology:

  • This technology has highrigidity, stability, resilience, and improves tear strength and elongation.

3.Reliable Sealing Ring:

  • Professionally designed to ensure no air leakage for more than 10 years in sewage environments, with simple and reliable installation.

4.Anti Buoyancy Design:

  • Effectively reduces the impact of buoyancy on the bottom fixing bolts, disc diffuser, and connectors, extending the service life of the entire aeration system.

5.Anti Vibration Design:

  • Effectively reduces the co vibration generated by the release of air in the aerator, thereby avoiding adverse effects.

6.The “工” – Shaped Opening Improves the Service Life of The Disc Diffuser.

  • Dispersed tearing stress
  • Improve tear strength
  • Reduce ventilation resistance
  • Reduce the diameter of bubbles
  • Improve dissolved oxygen efficiency

Application Field

1. Municipal Wastewater Treatment

  • Primary Function: Oxygen supply for aerobic bacteria in activated sludge processes.

  • Diffuser Type: Fine-bubble EPDM membrane discs (∅200-300mm).

2.Industrial Wastewater

  • Food processing: High COD/BOD (20,000-50,000 mg/L) → Requires oil-resistant membranes.

  • Pharmaceutical: Toxic compounds → Chemical-resistant silicone diffusers (pH 2-12).

3.Aquaculture

  • Dissolved oxygen: Maintain 5-8 mg/L for fish health.

  • Noise control: Submerged diffusers reduce stress (<60 dB).

4.Lake Restoration

  • Deep-water aeration: Specially weighted diffusers (10-15m depth).

  • Ecological safety: Avoid sensitive habitats (e.g., macrophyte zones).
