Recently, ZL-132 screw press sludge dewatering machine was successfully loaded and shipped, marking another export to Malaysia. The screw press sludge dewatering machine being exported is a new type of solid-liquid separation equipment. It achieves sludge dewatering through powerful squeezing forces generated by variations in screw diameter and pitch, combined with the narrow gaps between moving and fixed rings. It is widely used for sludge dewatering across various industries, including municipal wastewater treatment, food and beverage, slaughtering and livestock farming, printing and dyeing, petrochemicals, papermaking, leather processing, and pharmaceuticals.
Compared to traditional decanter centrifuge, filter press, and belt filter press, it offers the following features:
Feature 1: Capable of processing low-concentration sludge
Equipped with a proprietary pre-thickening unit, the system excels at handling low-concentration sludge; it overcomes the limitations of conventional gravity thickening to achieve highly efficient concentration.
Flocculation and thickening are performed in an integrated process, reducing the load on the subsequent dewatering stage; combined with a control valve, the inlet sludge concentration can be adjusted to an optimal state for dewatering.
Feature 2: Self-cleaning and non-clogging
Replacing traditional filter cloth, the system is self-cleaning, resistant to clogging, and capable of handling oily sludge.
Driven by the rotation of the screw shaft, the moving plates continuously shift relative to the fixed plates, enabling a continuous self-cleaning process that eliminates the clogging issues common in traditional dewatering machines. Consequently, it offers strong resistance to oily sludge, ensures easy separation, and prevents clogging. Additionally, it is equipped with a high-pressure spray gun for manual cleaning if required.
Feature 3: Low noise and low energy consumption
The screw press operates at low speeds, resulting in low energy consumption, low water usage, and low noise levels.
Its average energy consumption is merely 1/8 that of a belt filter press and 1/20 that of a decanter centrifuge, thereby reducing the operating costs of the wastewater treatment system.
